Once there was a little green forest. One day a heavy sound came rolling in — thump! thump! thump! The ground shook, the trees swayed. And at the edge of the forest stood a giant dinosaur — big as a mountain!
Oh my! Everyone ran off in fear. The hare dove into his burrow, the fox hid in the bushes, the tortoise pulled right into his shell. They all whispered — “So big! He must be a monster! Don't anyone go near him!”
Only little Tuntuni wasn't afraid. She flew on — closer… closer still… then landed plop! right on the dinosaur's nose. “Hello, big brother! Who are you? What're you doing here all alone?”
The dinosaur said softly — “I came looking for a friend. But whoever sees me runs away.” His big eyes filled with tears. Tuntuni said — “Don't cry, big brother. From today, I'm your friend!”
A few days later a fierce storm came. The wind howled, the rain poured down. Trees bent low, nests fell apart. The little animals shivered in the wet and wondered — where do we go now?
Tuntuni called out — “This way! Everyone, come to my friend!” The dinosaur stood still like a mountain, and under his great body all the animals gathered. No rain there, no storm — just comfort and peace.
In the morning the storm was gone and the sun came out sparkling. Everyone bowed their heads — “We feared you without even knowing you. Forgive us, friend.” The dinosaur smiled his sweetest smile. And Tuntuni burst into song — “Don't fear how someone looks — a kind heart makes a friend!”
